For this project I worked in a group with Griffin and Hayden. We made a coil pot for Mr.Brown to hold his whistles. It is a simple pinch pot that is about 5 inches by 6 inches with a nice wide base. on the outside we added a plaque that we stamped "Mr. B" on as well. When making this project we wanted to focus on shape and form so that the project could actually function for the purpose we intended it to. Therefore we made sure you could fit your fist in it and that it was pleasing to the eye. By adding the sign on the front it gave the overall pinch pot a feel of harmony and uniqueness that we thought would give it more meaning. That way it better shaped Mr. B's experience when using it! When it came time to glaze it Hayden decided to dip only the top half in brown glaze leaving the rest without. This also gave the pinch pot a nice texture with the glazed part contrasting with the rough unglazed part. Overall I think Mr. Brown will really appreciate the effort we put into this project especially because it serves a purpose. This project also challenged me as I had to work with some people that I didn't know but in the end it all turned out really well!
