This is my first bowl project as an intermediate in ceramics. It is a round bowl and about 5 inches by 4 inches with actual feet attached on the bottom raising the bowl off the table with a dark forest green glaze. When making this bowl on the wheel I made sure to focus on making a shape that better resembled a bowl like form. I made sure that I pulled a wall that was able to be shaped into a bowl with my rib tool. I also wanted it to have a sense of unity and balance so I made actual feet attachments for the 'footing' part of my bowl. When doing this I also used only 3 feet as it helped achieve my goal of harmony for the overall feel of the project. When it came time to glaze I really emphasized making sure my color was evenly distributed amongst the bowl which turned out very well. All in all this bowl represents a new beginning for me as it is not something I would usually do and I like how it is unique and different then just another bowl as the feet add character. When I see this project I will always feel reminded that is is ok to do things differently and to just go with the flow because at first when I realized I had made the base too thin I was upset but I worked with it and made something unique:)
